1. Who we are

This service is operated by NRI Will Genius LLC, doing business as NRI Will Genius. NRI Will Genius LLC is the data controller for the personal data described below. Contact us at privacy@nriwillgenius.com.

2. What we collect and why

• Account data — email address, name, login credentials or Google account identifier. Used to create and secure your account and to contact you about your documents. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
• Will content — the answers you enter, which can include details of your family, beneficiaries, executor, guardians and Indian assets. Used solely to generate and store your document. Legal basis: performance of our contract; where the content reveals special-category information you provide it voluntarily as part of the document you asked us to prepare.
• Transaction data — the fact of a purchase, amount, status and reference. Card details are collected and processed by Stripe, not by us; we never see or store your card number. Legal basis: contract and legal obligation.
• Technical and usage data — IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed, error logs. Used for security, fraud prevention, reliability and improving the product. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Support messages — what you send us. Used to answer you. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

3. Who we share it with

• Stripe, our payment provider and Merchant of Record, for the sale of the product, payments, invoicing and tax compliance;
• service providers acting as processors on our behalf — hosting and database, email delivery, error monitoring and analytics;
• professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants where necessary;
• authorities where we are required to disclose by law.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it to train AI models.

4. International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country, including outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses together with appropriate technical safeguards.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your account and will content for as long as your account is open, so that you can return and update your document. If you delete your account, your account data and will content are deleted. Transaction records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Technical logs are kept for a short retention period and then deleted or anonymised.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent. You can update your details and delete your account directly in account settings, or write to privacy@nriwillgenius.com and we will respond within one month. If you are in the UK or EEA you also have the right to complain to your supervisory authority.

7. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, row-level access controls that restrict each record to its owner, and least-privilege access for our systems. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

8. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to secure forms; these cannot be switched off without breaking the service. Our payment provider sets cookies needed to run checkout. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though sign-in will stop working if you block the necessary ones.

We will post any update here and change the date above. Material changes will also be notified by email.
